The Economist NELSON HERNANDEZ MARTINEZ, President of SIGIL Consulting Group, SA, signs the contract for the provision of consulting services with the Administrative and Financial Support Unit (UGAF) of the Ministry of Health of Panama (MINSA) for the development of the update project (PAISS + N and PSPV), which is delivered as part of the health services coverage extension strategy that is funded with resources from the HEALTH EQUITY AND PERFORMANCE PROGRAM (Loan Agreement IBRD No. 7587-0 PAN). The purpose of this paper is to update the cost of the Priority Benefit Package, which has been in force for several years by the Extra Institutional Organizations (OES) and Institutional Health Teams (EI) of MINSA, for the benefit of The poorest and most vulnerable populations in Panama. This adjustment will allow a more adequate dimensioning of the volume of resources needed to sufficiently cover the provision of basic health services for 2012, delivered through the contracting of services with those organizations in the priority regions and populations.
